Charles

Synopsis

Charles, a young boy, grapples with feelings of isolation and neglect in his daily life. At school, he faces reminders of his differences from classmates, while at home, he experiences a lack of care compared to other children in his neighborhood. To cope with the unfairness and teasing, Charles creates an imaginative world filled with kind-hearted frogs, offering him solace and a sense of belonging. Directed by Dominic-Étienne Simard, this animated short film explores themes of childhood, empathy, and the search for acceptance.
