Synopsis

Steinthor Sigurdsson, an Icelandic artist and scenographer, reflects on his life and work in "Canvas and Curtains." The film covers his childhood in Stykkisholmur and his recent projects, including the Icelandic Seal Center in Hvammstangi and the Volcano Museum in Stykkisholmur. At 80 years old, Steinthor visits an old friend in Stockholm, prompting memories of their time at Stockholm's art academy and in Spain during the 1950s. The documentary captures his ongoing contributions to the arts.
