Joséphine Bacon, an Innu poet, shares her life story through the lens of her friendships and experiences. Directed by Kim O'Bomsawin, Call Me Human premiered at the Quebec City Film Festival in 2020. The film later screened at the Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival and the Vancouver International Film Festival. It received multiple accolades, including the Audience Choice Award at Cinefest and the juried award for Best Canadian Documentary Film at VIFF. The film won the Prix collégial du cinéma québécois in 2021.
