Synopsis

Edith, an 86-year-old woman, has been blind since her adolescence. She shares her life with assistance dogs, whose portraits fill her home. The film follows her daily routines, including walks in the forest and shopping trips. It also features others dealing with disabilities and post-traumatic stress disorder. Personal accounts illustrate the role of assistance dogs in providing support and companionship. Directed by John Appel, Buddy runs for 86 minutes and was produced in the Netherlands in 2019.
