Following that, she will attend the Conservative Party Conference on October 2nd and her first EU Summit in Brussels on October 20th. The EU27 refuse to engage until Britain invokes Article 50, which would formally start the two-year Brexit deadline. Most senior Conservatives agree that Article 50 should be triggered, with Mrs. May suggesting it could happen in the new year, potentially leading to Brexit Day on January 1st, 2019.
