Synopsis

Manuel Guimarães reflects on his life through a collection of autobiographical texts and letters exchanged with friends. The narrative intertwines his social concerns and passion for cinema, revisiting significant films from the 20th century alongside his own complete filmography. A notable segment details the efforts of directors to circumvent official censorship, revealing the lengths to which they went to present their work outside their home countries. The documentary runs for 140 minutes and was released in 2017.
