Synopsis
Jake Williams lives alone in the Clashindarroch Forest of rural Scotland. For over 40 years, he has maintained a solitary lifestyle, which is documented in Bogancloch. Directed by Ben Rivers, the film captures Williams' daily routines and staged moments. It was filmed in black-and-white on 16 mm film, similar to Rivers' earlier work, Two Years at Sea. Bogancloch debuted at the Locarno Film Festival on August 9, 2024, and will also screen at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
