Synopsis

A tunneling machine operates deep underground, digging routes for new railway lines in Italy. Workers monitor its progress as it advances through rock and soil. The film follows its continuous operation during the night, capturing the labor that goes into urban development. As the final piece of rock is removed, light breaks into the dark space. Director Massimo D’Anolfi presents a 20-minute look at the unseen effort that supports modern infrastructure.
