Synopsis

Peter Voigt, a former assistant director at the Berliner Ensemble, discovers a wallet containing photographs and captions from Bertolt Brecht's time in American exile. This find leads Voigt to investigate Brecht's engagement with photography and film throughout his career. The documentary weaves together a collage of film and photo material, complemented by a conversation with Erdmut Wizisla, head of the Bertolt Brecht Archives, moderated by Harald Müller. The film runs for 91 minutes and was released in 2007.
