Synopsis

A young boy finds his grandfather's accordion in a dusty attic, prompting a search for the instrument's place in modern music. In a contemporary music shop, a young woman faces skepticism when she inquires about buying an accordion. The film traces the history of the accordion, from its origins in an ancient Chinese mouth organ to its evolution into today's MIDI instruments. Various types, including concertinas and button boxes, illustrate how the bellow-and-reed principle adapts to different musical styles.
