Baltic Tribes: Last Pagans of Europe is a 2018 Latvian documentary that focuses on the Baltic peoples during the 13th century. It features historical reconstructions, live action scenes, and computer animations, all narrated by scientific experts. The film follows Lars, a merchant from Gotland island, as he travels through various regions inhabited by the Curonians, Latgalians, Selonians, Semigallians, Prussians, Yatvingians, Galindians, Eastern Old Lithuanians, and Samogitians.
The film received funding from the National Film Centre's special fund in 2016, marking the 100th Anniversary of the Latvian Republic. It premiered in the U.S. at the Baltic Film Festival on 21 October 2018 and was nominated for a Lielais Kristaps National Film Festival award in the category of Best Documentary.
