Synopsis

Ruben Dario, a Nicaraguan writer, published his first work in 1888. His collection, Azul, marked the beginning of modern poetry in the Spanish language. In 1990, director Legiarda-Laura created a film of the same name to honor Dario's literary legacy. The documentary features 24 poems read aloud, accompanied by interviews and discussions that reflect on Nicaragua's cultural heritage. Through these elements, the film presents a portrait of the country's poetic tradition.
