Synopsis
Mount Athos, a peninsula in Northeastern Greece, is home to 20 Christian Orthodox monasteries and is exclusively accessible to men. Women, including the directors Irini Karayannopoulou and her partner, cannot enter this sacred space. Throughout the 60-minute film, women share their thoughts and experiences related to this restricted land. Unable to visit Athos, the directors reconstruct the peninsula using footage from various locations, animations, and reworked archival material, creating a dialogue around gender and access.
