Inside New Folsom prison, inmates confront the challenges of isolation and the need for self-expression. Many of these individuals serve life sentences. They engage in artistic activities such as poetry readings, gospel choir performances, and blues guitar sessions on the yard. These creative outlets allow them to connect with their emotions and each other. The documentary reveals how art becomes a means of resistance against the despair often associated with prison life.
