Five men, led by Dr. Joe McGinnis, lower themselves into the Arctic Ocean for the first time in history to study its underwater environment.
Synopsis
Dr. Joe MacInnis leads a team of scientists on an expedition beneath the Arctic ice in Resolute Bay. On April 28, 1974, they chip through over 2 meters of ice to reach the frigid waters of the North Pole. The divers conduct the first underwater study of the region, facing extreme conditions and isolation. They gather data to better understand the unique ecosystem and the effects of climate change. The film, directed by James de B. Domville, runs for 58 minutes.
