Synopsis
On the shores of the Aral Sea, filmmakers Daniel Asadi Faezi and Mila Zhluktenko document the region's drastic changes due to human activity. Once one of the largest lakes, the Aral Sea has shrunk significantly because of cotton farming practices during the Soviet era. The film features the last inhabitants, who face desertification and the loss of their traditional lifestyles. It runs for 14 minutes and was released in 2022.
