A remote island in the South Pacific may hold clues to the Maya civilization's mysteries. Archaeologist Jim Turner investigates a massive rock formation off the coast of Chile, believed to be carved by the ancient Maya and aligned with celestial events linked to the end of the Mayan Long Count calendar in 2012. His research, informed by the Dresden Codex and Mayan astronomy, explores the possibility of ancient Maya mariners navigating vast oceans and examines a 150-foot monument resembling the sun god and jaguar.
