Synopsis

In post-revolution Cairo, an Egyptian lesbian couple faces intense backlash from their community. Their love story unfolds against a backdrop of danger and societal rejection. Seeking safety and acceptance, they decide to flee to the Netherlands. Another Dream, directed by Tamara Shogaolu, is part of the Queer In A Time Of Forced Migration series. The 20-minute hybrid animated documentary and VR game addresses the challenges faced by LGBTQ refugees from Egypt, Sudan, and Saudi Arabia following the 2011 revolutions.
