An Old Herdsman

Synopsis

A solitary herdsman tends to his yaks in the pastoral regions of Tibet. Living a life of simplicity, he became a vegetarian in his twenties and has dedicated himself to caring for domestic animals. Having never married and coping with the loss of his brother, he finds companionship in his herd. Locals regard the yaks as reincarnated beings, a belief tied to the herdsman's past good deeds. The film presents his unique lifestyle and the spiritual beliefs surrounding reincarnation in Tibetan culture.
