In Youngstown, Ohio, an ex-steelworker scavenges abandoned homes to make ends meet. In Memphis, a recently incarcerated father struggles to rebuild his life. In Stockton, California, a single mother dreams of escaping her deteriorating neighborhood. Over 80 minutes, filmmaker Christopher F. Rufo presents intimate portraits of life in these three forgotten cities. The documentary captures the decline of the American interior through personal stories and conservative commentary, while also offering a vision for rebuilding families and communities.
