Synopsis

Footage of a garden opens the film, shot during the last year of the director's grandmother's life. Kenji Onishi uses 8mm home movies to document the gradual deterioration of equipment and the processes involved. The film captures minute details, immersing the audience in the sensory experience of decay. Onishi continues filming without knowing when the camera might fail, adding an element of uncertainty to the project. The 80-minute documentary reflects on memory and the passage of time.
