Synopsis
Under the night sky of Alaska, skiers navigate deep pillows and dramatic spines, their movements illuminated by massive lights and custom-made LED suits. Directed by Nick Waggoner, Afterglow is a 12-minute film produced by Sweetgrass Productions in collaboration with Philips TV and the Swedish Agency Ahlstrand & Wållgren. The project required extensive logistics and civil engineering, merging advanced color and light technology from Philips Ambilight TV with innovative skiing techniques. The result is a visually striking redefinition of the ski film genre.
