Synopsis

Leonardo Pirondi's Adrift Potentials presents a fragmented narrative from an unfinished 16mm film, Potenciais à Deriva, created by a Brazilian artist in exile in Los Angeles. The film features disembodied interviews, empty rooms, and soccer games, interspersed with the filmmaker's sudden appearances. It reflects on Brazil's colonial history, North American imperialism, and the military dictatorship, all conveyed through a lens of paranoia. This 11-minute work attempts to revive lost images and ideas that the artist intended to express.
