Synopsis
Bjarni, a 50-year-old farmer in Budardal Valley, faces challenges from market middlemen who drive down produce prices. His mother, Sigrún, aged 78, supports him as they navigate the pressures of modern agriculture. Mundi, a 93-year-old community member, and Skjöldur, a 35-year-old farmer, also struggle to maintain traditional values in a changing economy. Together, they confront the realities of a free market that threatens their livelihoods while refusing to abandon their way of life.
