Synopsis

On the shores of Georgian Bay, Richard Kerr captures the playful movements of his daughter in 1987. Using high contrast 16mm film, he employs a technique he calls 'digital sketching.' This method combines hand-held filming with the sensitivity of the film stock. The result is a series of dynamic black-and-white compositions that blur the lines between reality and abstraction. The erratic motions evoke a sense of constant movement, resembling abstract animation. This five-minute documentary reflects Kerr's artistic vision and innovative approach to film.
