Synopsis

Mrs. Irene and the remaining "fifteeners" gather each July 31st at the Monastery of the Accession on Therasia, a lesser-known island near Santorini. For fifteen days, they occupy the monastery's empty cells, preparing for the celebration of the Accession while praying for the eternal rest of their loved ones. As they reflect on the tradition of "Fifteen," the film connects the "unspoiled" body of the Virgin Mary, the abandoned land of Therasia, and the aging bodies of the women, addressing themes of faith, identity, and motherhood in modern Greece.
