Synopsis

In December 2003, Ugandan children live in constant fear of being abducted or killed as the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) terrorizes Northern Uganda. Over the past year, the LRA has abducted more than 5,000 children, forcing them into a life of violence as child soldiers. Many families flee to neighboring villages each night to escape the threat of abduction. After 17 years of civil war, President Museveni's calls for patience are increasingly met with frustration. Despite Uganda's urgent plea for international assistance, help remains elusive, leaving the population vulnerable to ongoing violence and instability.
