He aims to revitalize the area by transforming empty buildings into spaces for new ventures, reminiscent of Lord Carnarvon's discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. The decline of the ceramic industry is stark, with employment dropping from 70,000 to just 6,000 by the end of the 20th century. Justin's personal connection to this history drives his passion for nurturing creativity in the South of Stoke, where he showcases the Paladin Works, a former pot works turned studio space for performing artists.
