Synopsis

In Tehran, young people secretly teach themselves to dance, despite the ban on the art form in Iran. Many are unaware of the rich history of Iranian dance prior to the 1979 revolution. Sarvnaz Alambeigi has uncovered rare film footage of the National Ballet from that era. The documentary questions how the older generation of dancers can connect with the new wave of performers, bridging a cultural gap shaped by decades of restrictions.
