With Korean pop or K-pop becoming a global sensation, it’s little wonder that one in two Korean kids under the age of 18 aspires to be a K-pop idol. But the road to stardom is a rough one – and only a small percentage makes the cut. We see this frenetic world through the eyes of three aspiring stars. Seventeen-year-old Min Seo, who struggles with her high-pressure auditions; ageing Yun Mi, who must compete with much younger trainees for a chance to debut as an idol; and Mori, group leader of New Town Boyz, who is confronted with mental health issues and strained family relations as he navigates through the tough idol world. How much more blood, sweat and tears are they willing to pour into their dreams?
