Whitney is a documentary about the life of singer Whitney Houston, directed by Kevin Macdonald. The film combines these interviews with over 1,500 archival tapes and footage from various locations, including Newark, Los Angeles, and Japan, to present a comprehensive view of Houston's life and career. The documentary premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and was released in cinemas on July 6, 2018. It received positive reviews, grossing $4.7 million worldwide and earning a nomination for Best Music Film at the 61st Grammy Awards. The film's music score was composed by Adam Wiltzie and features many of Houston's iconic songs.
