True North is a 2025 Canadian documentary directed by Michèle Stephenson. It profiles the 1969 Sir George Williams affair protests at Sir George Williams University in Montreal, Quebec. The film focuses on a group of Haitian Canadian students who occupied a ninth-floor computer lab to protest systemic racism.
This incident was previously covered in the 2015 documentary Ninth Floor by Mina Shum. Pat Mullen of Point of View noted that Stephenson's film places the occupation within a broader context of societal change. True North premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.
