Every day, teenagers traverse minefields, rivers, and border guards in their quest to cross Europe's borders for safety and a better life.

Teenagers from war-torn countries face perilous journeys as they attempt to cross borders in Europe. They navigate minefields, rivers, and encounters with smugglers and border guards. Their path leads through Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia, Italy, France, and the Netherlands. Each day, they play what they call "The Game," seeking safety and a better life. Directed by Eefje Blankevoort, Shadow Game runs for 90 minutes and presents the challenges of young refugees in a modern context.
