Roshmia is a documentary by Salim Abu Jabal that tells the story of Yousef and Amna, an elderly Palestinian refugee couple living in a shack in Roshmia, the last natural valley in Haifa. The couple has lived in this location since 1956, enjoying a peaceful life away from modern distractions. However, their tranquility is disrupted when Israeli authorities announce a new road project that threatens to confiscate their land and demolish their home.
As the couple faces the possibility of displacement, their friend attempts to negotiate compensation with the municipality. Despite these efforts, Yousef is determined to keep his home, leading to rising tensions among the three. The film captures the emotional stakes of their situation, as Yousef and Amna confront the reality of potentially being separated from each other and their cherished home.
