Point and Shoot is a documentary that follows Matthew VanDyke, a 26-year-old from Baltimore, as he embarks on a 35,000-mile motorcycle trip through Northern Africa and the Middle East. During this trip, he forms a friendship with a Libyan hippie. When the Libyan revolution against dictator Muammar Gaddafi begins, VanDyke decides to join his friend in the fight, armed with a gun and a camera. The film captures his experiences in the war, including his eventual capture by Gaddafi's forces and six months spent in solitary confinement. The film is directed by Marshall Curry and produced by Curry, Elizabeth Martin, and VanDyke himself.
