Overnight is a 2003 documentary that follows Troy Duffy, the writer-director of The Boondock Saints, during a tumultuous period in his life. The film captures Duffy's rise to fame after selling his script to Miramax for $300,000 and receiving a $15 million budget to direct the film. It shows his initial excitement and success, including entertaining celebrities and managing his bar, J. Sloan's, which was purchased by Miramax. However, as the production progresses, Duffy's arrogance and abusive behavior towards friends and colleagues become evident, leading to his eventual downfall in the film industry.
