Napoli Eden is a 2020 documentary directed by Bruno Colella that follows artist Annalaura di Luggo as she creates four monumental art pieces from recycled aluminum in Naples. The film captures her efforts to place these artworks in symbolic locations throughout the city, emphasizing themes of environmental protection and social inclusion. Di Luggo also engages at-risk youth from the Spanish Quarters, aiming to inspire them with creative opportunities and a sense of hope.
The documentary had its world premiere in Rome on June 24, 2020, and was later screened in various locations, including a special showing in Milan. Napoli Eden has received multiple accolades, including awards for best documentary and best impact at the Impact DOCS Awards in California. It was also selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Italy to promote the country internationally.
