Minerita is a 2013 Spanish short-documentary film that focuses on three women, Lucía (40), Ivone (16), and Abigail (17), who work as night watch women in the Cerro Rico mining district in Potosi, Bolivia. The film presents their daily lives and the realities of working in one of the world's most notorious mining areas, highlighting the unique perspectives of women in a male-dominated industry. Directed by Raúl de la Fuente, the film has a runtime of 27 minutes and was well received by critics, earning accolades such as the Best Short Documentary Director at the Social Impact Media Awards and Best Documentary Short Film at the 28th Goya Awards. Although it was shortlisted for the 88th Academy Awards in the Documentary Short Subject category, it did not receive a nomination as a finalist.
