Their life takes a tragic turn when they are ambushed by child soldiers from the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). Colin is killed during this attack, leaving Hedi to return with their two-year-old daughter. Hedi's journey culminates in her expressing forgiveness to the children who were abducted by the LRA, highlighting her personal transformation and the impact of their experiences.
