Madu is a 2024 Nigerian documentary film that follows Anthony Madu, a twelve-year-old ballet dancer from Ajangbadi, Lagos state. The film captures his rise to fame after a video of him dancing in the rain went viral in 2020, leading to a scholarship at Elmhurst Ballet School in the United Kingdom. Directed by Matthew Ogens and Joel Kachi Benson, the documentary provides an intimate look at Anthony's life as he transitions from Nigeria to a new cultural environment in the UK.
The film premiered globally on Disney+ on March 29, 2024, after its initial screening at the 2024 iREP International Documentary Film Festival in Lagos.
