Fresh Dressed is a documentary that chronicles the history of hip hop fashion, focusing on its origins and evolution within street culture. Directed by Sacha Jenkins, the film features interviews with key figures in the hip hop community, including Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, and Nas, who provide insights into the impact of fashion on the genre and vice versa.
The film took approximately 18 months to produce and was co-produced by Nas, Peter Bittenbender, and Marcus A. Clarke. It premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and was later acquired for North American distribution by Samuel Goldwyn Films and StyleHaul. The documentary runs for 90 minutes and is presented in English.
