Erase and Forget
Erase and Forget is a documentary directed by Andrea Luka Zimmerman that examines the life of Bo Gritz, an American ex-soldier. The film uses a combination of interviews with Gritz filmed over a decade and archival footage to investigate the connections between Hollywood films and America's lesser-known military conflicts. The film is a Danish-British co-production supported by The Wapping Project Commissions and features a tagline of 'Serve. Defend. Disobey.' It premiered at the 2017 Berlin Film Festival and was later screened at the London Film Festival and UK cinemas. The film received critical attention for its portrayal of Gritz and its commentary on contemporary American politics, particularly in relation to the presidency of Donald Trump.
