Eddy's World is a documentary short film directed and produced by Lyn Goldfarb, focusing on her father, Eddy Goldfarb, a 98-year-old inventor of classic toys. The film covers Goldfarb's extensive career, beginning with his first toy design during World War II while serving in the United States Navy. Over the span of 70 years, he invented over 800 toys and holds more than 300 patents, including popular items like Yakity Yak teeth and Kerplunk.
The film features Eddy's current life in a retirement community, where he continues to design toys in his garage machine shop. It premiered at the Mountainfilm Festival in May 2020 and is available in two versions: an 18-minute festival cut and a 28-minute director's cut. The film has been recognized with multiple awards and nominations, including a 2022 Emmy nomination and a 2021 Silver Telly Award.
