Drag Kids is a Canadian documentary directed by Megan Wennberg, focusing on four young drag performers: Queen Lactatia, Laddy GaGa, Suzan Bee Anthony, and Bracken Hanke. These children, hailing from Canada, the United States, and Europe, made their debut performance together at Fierté Montréal in 2018. The film captures their experiences and the vibrant world of drag entertainment through their eyes.
The documentary premiered on April 28, 2019, at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in Toronto, where the stars performed at a drag brunch hosted by Glad Day Bookshop. It won the Best Canadian Feature award at the Inside Out Film and Video Festival the following month and had its broadcast premiere on the Documentary Channel on July 25, 2019. The film later debuted in the United States on October 24, 2019, at NewFest in New York City, and went into wide release in 2020.
