Comandante
Comandante is a political documentary featuring an interview between American director Oliver Stone and Cuban leader Fidel Castro. The film covers a wide range of topics discussed during Stone's three-day visit to Cuba in 2002. The documentary presents Castro's perspectives on various political and social issues, providing insight into his leadership and the state of Cuba at that time. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in early 2003 and was produced partly by HBO. However, shortly before its planned broadcast, HBO decided to pull the program due to the execution of three hijackers in Cuba and the imprisonment of over 70 political dissidents. As a result, Comandante has not been released on video in the USA to date.
