Big Rig is a 2007 documentary film directed by Doug Pray that focuses on long-haul truck drivers in the United States. The film features a series of interviews with various drivers, sharing their personal life stories and insights into the culture of trucking. The crew, consisting of Pray, producer Brad Blondheim, and production assistant Jim Dziura, approached truckers at truck stops without prior scheduling, often facing skepticism and being thrown out for soliciting interviews.
The film was shot during four two-week road trips and includes music contributions from Buck 65, with about one third of the music composed specifically for the film. The documentary was well-received in the trucking community and was an official selection at the Seattle International Film Festival and AFI Fest, later released on DVD in late 2008.
