Alis is a 2022 documentary directed by Clare Weiskopf and Nicolás van Hemelryck. It focuses on ten teenage girls at a boarding school in Bogotá, Colombia. The filmmakers ask each girl to imagine a new classmate named Alis, allowing them to share their experiences and relationships in a safe environment.
The film premiered in February 2022 at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Crystal Bear for best film in the Generation 14+ program and the Teddy Award for best LGBTQ-related documentary film. In 2023, Alis won Best Documentary at the 11th Macondo Awards, and the filmmakers were nominated for Best Screenplay.
